I started this email three years ago for a selfish reason.
It was a forcing function. If I had to write to you every Sunday, then I had to keep learning.
So I read books and shared what I found. I shared personal lessons and stories. I wrote about what I learnt building businesses. If there was an insight that was worth sharing I wrote it down and shared it with you here.
Something has changed since then.
Content is more abundant and more free than it has ever been. I am part of that. I now use AI to find me stories, sources and insights, and when one of them moves me, I pass it on to you.
My life has changed too.
I have moved to Singapore to build Ideals across Asia, and I take that seriously. I am a father, and I take the hours I get with my family as sacred. I own a startup and have other business interests, and they take my weekends.
Between work and family, the only time left for myself goes into my health, physical and mental.
There is not much room left in that week.
This email is the one thing in it I do not want to give up. The habit is a large part of what has made me who I am over these three years.
But I would like to keep it for the right reason, and that means finally asking you something I never have.
Why do you read these?
Just hit reply and tell me in your own words. A line, a paragraph, whatever it is worth to you.
And tell me what you do, and where you are reading this from. Three years in, I still could not tell you who most of you are, which feels like the wrong way round.
If you have never replied to anything I have sent you in three years, make this the one you do respond to.
Harsh
I build businesses with extraordinary people. I share my learnings daily on my WhatsApp Community and LinkedIn, and weekly on this Sunday Email.
